Carroll County Small Businesses — Standing Together

We are shop owners, contractors, restaurateurs, and entrepreneurs who have built our livelihoods in Carroll County. We employ your neighbors. We sponsor your kids' sports teams. We show up at every community event because this county is our home — and we intend to keep it that way.

A safe, prosperous Carroll County doesn't happen by accident. It requires accountable leadership at every level of local government — especially in the State's Attorney's office, which sets the tone for how justice is administered in our courts and our communities.

When we look at the documented record of the current candidate, we see a pattern that concerns us deeply. Carroll County deserves better. That's why we're here.

"Carroll County has always been a place where people do things the right way. We're going to make sure it stays that way."

— Carroll County Small Business Owner
01

Public Safety First

Violent offenders must be prosecuted relentlessly. A State's Attorney who maintains the confidence of the bench is essential to keeping Carroll County safe.

02

Prosecutorial Accountability

The Brady Rule exists for a reason. Full evidence disclosure, no exceptions, no shortcuts. When prosecutors cut corners, innocent people pay the price.

03

Economic Prosperity

Businesses thrive when communities are safe and justice is administered fairly. Crime against businesses is a direct threat to jobs and livelihoods in Carroll County.

04

Transparency & Integrity

Carroll County taxpayers fund this office. They deserve a State's Attorney who welcomes oversight, publishes data, and answers to the public — not to political allies.

Carroll County needs leadership that will reverse these trends. George Psoras and Joe Murtha are ready.

Judicial Confidence

A State's Attorney who has lost the confidence of the bench cannot effectively represent the people. When all four circuit court judges take action, Carroll County must take notice.

George Psoras Will Protect Your Land From Corporate Takeover

The Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project (MPRP) is a proposal by PSEG — a New Jersey corporation — to cut a 150-foot-wide, 70-mile transmission line path through Baltimore, Carroll, and Frederick Counties.

This isn't hypothetical. PSEG has already filed court motions to force surveyors onto private land — without property owners' permission. If you refuse, they can invoke eminent domain and take your land by force of law.

  • 400+ properties threatened — farms, family homes, preserved forests, and businesses
  • PSEG has filed court motions to force entry onto Carroll County private land

  • Carroll County Commissioners officially oppose MPRP — your State's Attorney should too

When a Carroll County Business Owner Needed a Champion, George Psoras Was There.

Two criminals broke into a Carroll County small business. When the owner defended himself and his property, he was charged with assault. The community was outraged. They demanded the charges be dropped. The State's Attorney's office pressed forward anyway.

George Psoras stepped up. He took the case, defended the store owner in court, and fought for his right to protect what he'd built. A Carroll County Circuit Court judge agreed.
